how to get empathy working with xfire, are there some possible protocols to use or is there no way to get the empathy client to understand xfire ?

I used to use Pidgin but lately it has had some problems with sending messeges. Takes 3 min for messege to send and sometimes it just disapper.

I just updated to Ubuntu 9.10 and am testing Empathy. Works great but I miss the plugin-feature.
