I tried 4 times! ;-) Then I tried to install Ubuntu 8.10 and it worked. It think Karmic has some installation bugs. But mine was installed in xp drive :P . its fact that most of the ubuntu community members are not happy with their karmic installations as a lot of them are getting problems while booting. this may be due the improved kms features in karmic release that works proper only on intel .Even my screen freezes badly sometimes thats why i prefer a dedicated install instead . i have worked with wubi in xp+win7 dual boot. it worked fine untill i uninstalled it :) ) .
