Google Chrome 11 Stable Released

Google Chrome 11 has been officially released on the stable channel by the developers and is available for download. Ubuntu 11.04 is going to be released today and we have alredy recived the news of release of Slackware 13.37, ATI Catalyst drivers 11.4, Zenwalk OS & Chakra GNU/Linux 2011.04. Today is a big day for FOSS as Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal is about to be released too. This means a lot of goodies for the opensource lovers in one day, more than one can digest :P . So, lets see what Chrome 11 has to offer.

Opera 11.10 ‘Barracuda’ Released

One of the most famous browsers on the internet i.e. Opera got an awesome updae today. Yes! Opera 11.10 codnamed ‘Barracuda’ has been released and is ready to download. This release is also there for Ubuntu 11.04, so that Natty users can also enjoy their loving browser’s improved version. This time Opera has come up with a new name ‘Barracuda’, a new engine Presto, a new image format WebP and many UI improvements and loads of bugfixes. ns2 Simulator On Ubuntu

ns‘ is a discrete event simulator targeted at networking research. Ns provides substantial support for simulation of TCP, routing, and multicast protocols over wired and wireless (local and satellite) networks. ns-2 is a packet-level simulator and essentially a centric discrete event scheduler to schedule the events such as packet and timer expiration. Centric event scheduler cannot accurately emulate “events handled at the same time” in real world, that is, events are handled one by one. However, this is not a serious problem in most network simulations, because the events here are often transitory. Beyond the event scheduler, ns-2 implements a variety of network components and protocols.

Mozilla Firefox 4.0 Final released for Ubuntu

This release has come up with many new features and updates and is set to redefine the browsing experience. Wtih more than 400 Million Users, Mozilla is one of the most widely used cross-platform browser.
