We are glad to announce that Firefox 4.0 codename Minefield Beta 9 has been released and is ready for testing. Firefox 4 Beta is based on the Gecko 2.0 Web platform. This release is very much stable and many bugfixes & updates have been made. There is a drastic change in browsing speed. Firefox 4.0 uses Hardware Acceleration from canvas drawing to video rendering and thus making browsing experience more awesome.
Installation :- There is a simple and effective way to test Firefox 4.0 on your Ubuntu system without losing your 'Bookmarks' and 'Tabs' that you opened last time or any of your settings. Just open the terminal and type :-
Note: The link above is for those who want to install firefox via terminal as this file will be a tarball. So we would recommend the PPA method.
